Facebook, the social network that everyone seems to be a part of, but oh so many scams on these new groups and fan pages that seem to be emerging, groups and fan pages are a great thing, but they seem to be over populating facebook. Now on my Facebook home screen, all I see is “so and so became a fan of…” etc. There seem to be some new ones where you have to click “become a fan” to see an image, it’s just a ploy to get fans. I don’t know why people have a crave to get as many fans as possible – it’s not even as if it matters!

I for one am fed up of Facebook, I’m not saying that I’m going to migrate to Myspace or Bebo, but it’s got so many bugs and errors it’s unbelievable. Sometimes when I try to post a status, it will say Network error, General error, or Oops something went wrong. Sometimes photo albums don’t work, sometimes I’ll “like” someones status, and it won’t work – it’s getting annoying, you know…

Facebook users, have you ever been friend requested by someone named “Pastor [Insert random name here]?” I have been several times… When I messaged them, I noticed the reply was slightly condescending. As a result, I unfriended them (sorry Pirillo!), and later I had a barrage of add requests. It’s 100% spam, and regardless of your religious/non affiliation, it’s not right. As a Christian, I’m a little offended at the disregard of nettiquette.

Now I am annoyed enough to research them a little, and post a little about them. There are many organizations out there that claim to be of God, but yet denies the truth and power of His Word! This Zyxter organization is one of those groups. ZOLTAN anyone??

So, a few months ago, I purchased a T-Mobile G1, with Android OS and Google apps. Aside the fact that T-Mobile lied to me and bilked me into getting into another contract for it (they promised hotspot access for my laptop for free, which didn’t happen), I like the phone itself, regardless of how rotten T-Mobile service is.

Once I got the phone, I realized it needed a few features. For example, storing apps on an SD card. So I root it, install JF 1.51, and Apps2SD on it because I was running out of room fast. I quickly learned that the phone suddenly was slow and crashy with this. I sought other options, but in the end there wasn’t a good option so I popped my SIM into my old Samsung Beat T539. DO NOT attempt to unlock the second core of this processor. Most will accept the ACC command, but some will brick immediately. We’re not sure, but it’s either the CPU, Mainboard, or PSU that blew on my brother’s PC. Everything inside me says PSU, but it could be a toasty processor.

Update: I think it’s the power supply that is the offender here!

Magic Jack claims to be the cheapest phone provider around and all you have to do is pay $20 or so a year. But honestly is it worth it? Why, you may be asking me, am I saying “is it worth it”?

This post will contain bashing about this provider as well as my thoughts about it. And I hope it will actually bring the light to people about how retarded and annoying this program is actually.

If there are any tech geeks out there, I am sure you guys know who Chris Pirillo is. The former host of the Tech TV show, “A Call For Help”. He is a well respected professional blogger, and I myself, being a fan of his work, found this pretty ridiculous. Take a look at this video. I don’t have to say much.
