Happy 4th of July, fellow Americans! I must say there are a lot more whiners out there than I thought. Facebook is being flooded with “I hate July 4th, USA sucks, etc”. Of course, most of the people who are saying these things have much worse grammar. If you’re on Facebook, check this link to see what I mean. For a holiday that is supposed to bring joy and patriotism to America, even the war veterans are acting like little kids. Give me a break. Having that said, let us get on the lighter side of things!

Alot of us Americans tend to eat like Americans on the 4th of July. Some have barbecues, some get a little more fancy than that and throw a full party, and then some like the simplicity of sitting at home. This brought me to the idea of junkfood. If it looks good, smells good, and tastes good, it’s usually not good for you. However, this is America and we love junk! So my question to everyone is..What do you do on July 4th? And what is your favorite junkfood, whether or not it’s on a holiday?

Website’s back up! If it does go down or you cannot access it, feel free to call SuperNova Networks to complain that DigiMantis.com is the only site on the net that you can’t get to. Their phone number is 1-877-876-4678. I’m holding them to the Service Level Agreement now.

So I’ve come out of hiding again! I’ve been silently working on the next site design/engine for DigiMantis.com recently,  to help foster a more collaborative spirit. It’s still got some more work to go, but one day you will see a drastic change in the way our site works!

Yes, I just got burned by both XFX and TigerDirect.com. I have no remorse or regrets in encouraging people to boycott XFX. So, I ordered a Sega Saturn on Sunday. I’ve been paying attention to the tracking with USPS ever since it shipped. This morning soon as I woke up (about 11:00 AM), I saw that it was out for delivery today, so I thought “Awesome!” and kept my eyes and ears open for the entire day, and kept my eyes on the tracking as well. I even so much as checked the mailbox twice. Once at around 11:30 AM (nothing in there) and a second time at around 2:00 PM.

The reason why I’m listing the times there is because at 4:00 PM when they FINALLY updated the tracking information, they said they attempted to deliver it at 1:00 PM and they left a notice in the mailbox, so I checked my mailbox and there the notice was. Funny thing is that my dog goes crazy and starts barking whenever anyone (even my parents) walk up to my door. My dog didn’t even growl. Another thing is that right around 1:00 PM, maybe around 12:50 or so, I was actually upstairs making lunch and eating it, and I was watching out the entire time. My dog didn’t bark, and I didn’t see any truck drive by. Even up until 4:00, nobody knocked on my door, and my dog did not bark once.

Facebook, the social network that everyone seems to be a part of, but oh so many scams on these new groups and fan pages that seem to be emerging, groups and fan pages are a great thing, but they seem to be over populating facebook. Now on my Facebook home screen, all I see is “so and so became a fan of…” etc. There seem to be some new ones where you have to click “become a fan” to see an image, it’s just a ploy to get fans. I don’t know why people have a crave to get as many fans as possible – it’s not even as if it matters!

I for one am fed up of Facebook, I’m not saying that I’m going to migrate to Myspace or Bebo, but it’s got so many bugs and errors it’s unbelievable. Sometimes when I try to post a status, it will say Network error, General error, or Oops something went wrong. Sometimes photo albums don’t work, sometimes I’ll “like” someones status, and it won’t work – it’s getting annoying, you know…
