Windows 7 Goodies
After the advent of Microsoft’s new Windows 7 Operating System, users are astounded at the performance and stability. However, it was scaled down a bit in comparison to the Windows Vista OS. So what most users do not know, is that Microsoft makes available for download, at no extra charge, a plethora of software, themes, and other various goodies.

Personalization Gallery allows you to grab Desktop Window Manager Themes, Desktop Backgrounds, Desktop Gadgets (widgets), and Slideshow Gadgets.

Ever get tired of paying for antivirus software? I did too. I used Avast Antivirus (www.avast.com). The problem with Avast is that sometimes, it made my machines lag, especially during a definition/program update. If I was in a game, it would be ridiculous. Microsoft Security Essentials fixes that lag issue, with a completely free antivirus/antispyware solution. This will undoubtedly change the landscape of security.

Windows Vista was pretty bad when it came to compatibility. Windows 7 has XP Mode and Windows Virtual PC. This is for Ultimate/Pro users, so it’s sort of a classic Microsoft Consumer Licensing FAIL.
